After graduating from Binghamton University with a degree in English in 2004, I worked for newspapers in St. Cloud, Minn.; Binghamton, N.Y.; and Naples, Fla. I then went on to pursue a master's in photography at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

I have experience as a reporter, copy editor, graphic and page designer, and most recently as a Web editor and videographer.

I'm currently teaching online journalism at Stony Brook University.
